State v. Allan Lichtman and Karyn Strickler.  Candidate for the United States Senate and a political activist were arrested while participating in a political protest at Maryland Public Television.  Trial was conducted in the District Court for Baltimore County and both Mr. Lichtman and Ms. Strickler were acquitted on all counts.
State v. James Ramiah Logan . Death penalty trial held in Prince George’s County, Maryland for slaying of two deputy sheriffs. Verdicts of second-degree murder returned, resulting in no death-penalty eligibility for Mr. Logan.
State v. Eddie Leon Wilkins . Not guilty verdict returned by jury on first-degree murder prosecution. Mr. Wilkins was released from state custody.
United States v. Maurice Munford . This federal case was disposed of by way of a five-year sentence, even though the defendant had “career offender” status and faced a 15-year minimum mandatory sentence.
State v. Rogers . Dismissal of the charges was obtained in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. The defendant was charged with possession of a firearm.
United States v. Barry . Not guilty verdict obtained in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. The defendant had been charged with several regulatory offenses.
United States v. Bush . Dismissal of federal charges obtained due to a grand jury irregularity.
(name of defendant withheld) In a misdemeanor assault case in Prince George’s County, dismissal of the charges was obtained.
(juvenile case in Prince George’s County - name of defendant withheld) the State was convinced to drop auto theft charges in exchange for payment of restitution.
(juvenile case in Prince George’s County - name of defendant withheld) the juvenile cooperated with authorities in a robbery case and was sentenced to probation only.
